Stanley Park Lawn Bowling Club has introduced a Para Bowls Program for children (10 years of age and older) and adults who are visually impaired or physically disabled.
Certified Club Coaches and volunteers have received training on “Coaching athletes with a Disability” and Safe Sport”. All the equipment is provided. All that’s needed is a flat-soled (no heels) pair of shoes and comfortable clothing. Drop-ins are welcome to ‘Try Bowls” on Tuesday evening starting at 7:00 pm to 8:00 pm and Thursday afternoon starting at 1:30 pm to 2:30 pm during June, July and August.
*Parents or Guardians must accompany minors & remain during the session.
Stanley Park Lawn Bowling Club is located at 350 – 42 Avenue SW in Stanley Park. The clubhouse and lawn bowling green are located a short distance (on a level asphalt sidewalk) from the “on-site” Stanley Park car parking lot.
